Christine Foy Stage joined the firm

On April 1, 2018, Christine Foy Stage joined the firm, Stage and Nathans, LLP as of counsel.  Chris recently retired from the Orange County Attorney’s Office where she served as an assistant county attorney handling child welfare cases in Family Court for 33 years. She will continue to handle Family Court matters as well as other firm cases. Chris also serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, Warwick Lions Club and the Warwick Valley Country Club.

She is married to Douglas R. Stage, one of the partners. Their daughter, Catherine is also employed at Stage and Nathans, LLP as a legal assistant.

Christmas meals and gifts for three different families

Doug Stage, worked with the local ecumenical council to help deliver Christmas meals and gifts for three different families. One family was sponsored by the Warwick Lions Club, one by him and his wife, Christine, and one by Stage & Nathans, LLP.

The photo is of Doug’s second trip that morning to the local Church where the gifts are delivered.

Doug and his firm have been sponsoring a family for over 10 years.

Handicap Entrance

At Stage & Nathans, attorneys in law of Warwick NY, we put our clients first.  Our firm has been built on a foundation of trust and close relationships with our clients.  We do whatever we can to help our clients understand the law, and make their experience more pleasant.  To stay true to this commitment we have added a new handicap entrance to our office. Many of our clients, including those who hire us for Elderly Law cases, will surely find the new handicap entrance a more convenient way to visit our office.

Birth Announcement

Bill Nathans is pleased to announce the birth of his first grandson, “Gage Lawrence Nathans”, born in Portland, Maine on March , 2016. Gage weighed in at 9 pounds 5 ounces and is a healthy, happy baby. Bill & Beth Nathans are the proud grandparents and John & Kate Nathans are the proud parents. John is a lawyer in the State of Maine and who knows? Maybe someday Gage may be practicing law in Warwick

Doug Stage helped his eldest grandson, Tim celebrate his birthday with his little brother, Mason on April 9, 2016. Tim is a bright, young man who is destined for greatness. Doug & Chris Stage are the proud grandparents and James & Molly Stage are the proud parents.

Douglas R. Stage, Elected President of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce

Douglas R. Stage was elected President of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce in December, 2014. As such he has come to the organization with some new zeal. One of his initiatives is to bring back the educational program section of the Chamber. Another initiative is to commence the mentoring program where members of the Board of Directors take new members under their wing to help mentor them in the ins and outs of the Chamber of Commerce. The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce is the second biggest chamber in Orange County, second only to the Orange County wide Chamber of Commerce.

Douglas hopes to enhance the character of Warwick and to continue the great strides made by former administrations.

Douglas' Daughter's Graduation

Douglas and Christine Stage were pleased to announce that their daughter, Catherine Stage, has graduated from Hunter College with a commencement exercise on January 22, 2015. Catherine graduated with a BA in Psychology and is looking forward to pursuing a degree in law, perhaps to return to the family firm in Warwick.

William Nathans represents Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe

William Nathans and Noreen Meduski, his paralegal, helped Thomas Roberts purchase and expand the Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe in Warwick, New York. This book store is the only independently owned book store in Orange County and it is thriving. In fact, Mr. Roberts expanded to the second floor of his building for his book store and has won the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Renovation of the Year Project due to the expansion and renovation.

Douglas Stage’s wife captures Independence Line

On September 9, 2014, Christine Stage was an Independence primary for Family Court Judge in Orange County, New York. She garnered 75% of the votes against her opponent, David Hasin, the Town of Woodbury Town Justice.

Christine is now running on the Independence, Working Families Party, and Democratic lines in her efforts to seek Family Court Judgeship on November 4, 2014. Ms. Stage has worked the family court for over 30 years and has worked in many areas including persons in need of supervision, juvenile delinquents, support matters, abuse and neglect matters and custody of children in foster care.

Our New Association with Stephen H. Derderian

Douglas R. Stage and William Nathans are pleased to announce their new association with Stephen H. Derderian, Esq. commencing on June 30, 2014. Stephen will be “Of Counsel” to Stage & Nathans, LLP, 23 West St., Warwick.

Steve has practiced residential/commercial Real Estate together with Estate planning and Administration, for over 30 years in Greenwood Lake.

Bill concentrates in residential/commercial Real Estate and business formation. Doug’s practice includes Estate Planning and Administration together with a robust Elder Law practice.
